A note to the reader

Dear reader,
It has been nearly three months since my accident, and I have now moved out of the hospital. It has often been difficult to find moments where I have both the time and energy to blog. As a result, my blogs are still largely an expression of my first few weeks in rehab. Fear not, things do improve, moods and outlooks in particular.
Yours,
Craig

  1. Dear Blogger,

So you think we, your audience, are such a loutish bunch that we are going to bitterly complain, "He never calls, he never blogs. Selfish bastard"? Or perhaps we'll rail, "What's with this still-in-rehab so-last-month content he's throwing at us?"

I can only speak for myself, but the impression I get from other comments is that we all stand with bowed heads in the shadow of the enormous tragedy that has befallen you and with great awe and reverence at the courage you display. And rising like a lotus from that rich swamp is your talent of words that convey such depth of emotion and experience. It's breath-taking.

But yeah, you'd better shape up and improve it all, or we'll definitely be dishin' on you.

May your health, time, energy, blogs, moods, and outlooks improve in the ways that please you the most. We, your audience, await with 'bated breath for whatever you wish to share; and we are most grateful for your generosity in sharing.

  2. Craig,

I just got here today and read all your entries. I can only echo Liz above, your talent with words is breath-taking. Humbling.

Your strength in the face of this ultimate adversity is amazing. May you experience the best that can be as you soldier on.

  3. Craig,
I stand with both Robin and Liz...we do "stand with bowed heads in the shadow of the enormous tragedy that has befallen you and with great awe and reverence at the courage you display".

I was just speaking with a co-worker nurse at work and she reads your blog and the CaringBridge site and says she is in awe as well and prays for you and family daily.

Hang in there and find more strength wherever you possibly can. We're pulling for you.

    Love, your cousin Michelle
